Wear Orange Summer Jam Success!
Boston Was Aglow with Orange on June 8th!
It was a glow of poetry and dancing and our own Massachusetts’ Attorney General spinning an orange basketball on her finger. It was burgers flipping and children bouncing and spirited competition on the court and 20 community organizations coming together to present crucial information about health and safety and unity. It was the glow of the smiles of 400 people joining in expression and listening and celebrating along with our leaders and elected officials.
The 2019 Wear Orange Summer Jam, hosted by Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America in and Lena Park Community Development Center, was a day that glowed with goodwill – and a day to repeat, until our communities are safer. The Boston event was connected to a nationwide gun violence awareness effort that takes place annually the first week in June.
Plan to be part of Wear Orange in 2020 and celebrate our communities while joining the effort to end gun violence.
